    A candidate shall not be allowed to take up Honours in the subject under heading A if he had not passed the subject(s) mentioned under the heading B.

  • A candidate may be admitted to First Year Class provided he has passed in five recognised subjects of full marks not being less than 100 each provided he has also passed English. A candidate passing in four subjects shall not be eligible to such admission to the course.

  • Environmental Education as a compulsory subject shall not be taken into account for calculating the aggregate marks. Percentage of marks will be calculated by adding the marks in top 4 subjects.

  • No candidate shall be allowed to take up Honours in Economics if he has not passed Mathematics or Business  Mathematics at the previous qualifying examination.

    Students of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education shall not be offered Honours in Economics if they had Business Economics with Business Mathematics at the H. S. Examination.

    Results will not be sent by post. They will have to gather information on their own initiative. Selected candidates will have to meet the Principal and seek admission from 23rd June to 1st July, 2008 failing which their selection will be cancelled.

    Admission starts on the same day i.e. 23rd June, 2008

     

    N.B.

  • Only one attested copy of Marksheet and a Cast Certificate (where applicable) are required at the time of submission of form. Even an incomplete form signed either by the student or by the guardian may also be submitted. No photo is necessary now. Completely filled in form is a must when the candidate is selected for admission.

  • Candidates willing to sit for the second preference will have to mention it in the application forms. Admission test on the second preference will also be held on the same day of Admission Test from 2-15 p.m. to 4-15 p.m.

  • Candidates appearing at both the preferences will be selected for only one subject.

  • Those who will be selected for the final admission will require to submit the following

  • Two copies of MARKSHEETS, one copy of ADMIT CARD of H.S or equivalent Examination (unattested) and the original marksheet is to be produced.

  • One copy of attested ADMIT CARD and MARKSHEET of Madhyamik or equivalent Examination.

  • A conduct and character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.

  • Three recent passport size photographs of the student in white dress (unattested).

  • A health certificate by a registered medical practitioner with blood group.

  • A Cast certificate (when and where applicable).

  • An income certificate of the guardian from relevant authority.
